The BSE Sensex settled 143.51 factors or 0.36 per cent larger at 39,757.58. Equally, the broader NSE Nifty superior 26.75 factors or 0.23 per cent to 11,669.15.
Main gainers within the Sensex pack had been IndusInd Financial institution, ICICI Financial institution, HDFC, Axis Financial institution, Bharti Airtel, SBI, Bajaj Finance, HDFC Financial institution, Bajaj Finserve, Kotak Financial institution, NTPC and Powergrid, rising upto 7.10 p.c. Then again, main losers had been RIL, HCL Tech, TCS, Asian Paint, Tata Metal, Bajaj Auto, Maruti, Ultrachem, Nestle and LT, falling upto 8.62 p.c.
